„Extraordinary“: Eurolite TMH FE-1200 put to the test

January 14th, 2015 Posted in EUROLITE

German trade magazine Soundcheck tested the Eurolite TMH-1200 FE for its December issue. The result: The Moving Head’s „flower power“ fully convinced the tester.

At the beginning, the magazine stated that the TMH FE-1200 is not a normal Moving Head: „The TMH FE-1200 is a little extraordinary“. This not only refers to the spot’s appearance, which resembles „a piece of black stove pipe“, but above all its generated light: „The beams can be concentrated, so one solid beam is formed. You have a flower effect and a beam spot in one device here“.

Special look and great effects

Testers were also enthusiastic about the light output of the Flower Moving Head: “Everybody who thinks of a weak little spot when hearing Flower Effect, is completely wrong. The TMH FE-1200 shows a proper performance”. The – not-so-common – color mixture of the spot first evoked surprise, then appreciation: “The colors red, green, blue and white are available, but they can not be mixed properly. Depending on the color choice, single beams in these colors are created. (…) But this is no drawback at all, as a very special look is produced, with which beautiful effects can be created”.

Great spot

It’s not surprising that the result of the test is completely positive: „A great spot, which combines Flower Effect, Beam and Moving Head and not only makes an impression in clubs, but also on music stages or on tour with mobile DJs.“

Eurolite in Las Vegas!

July 22nd, 2014 Posted in EUROLITE, General

The Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas is the biggest Electric Dance Music (EDM) Festival in the world. In 2014, more than 400 000 visitors from 40 countries came to the festival site in three nights. They were dazzled amongst others things by hundreds of Eurolite spotlights.

EDC 2014

It is the mixture of music and light installations, which makes the EDC Las Vegas so unique. Featured in this year’s light installation were numerous Eurolite Audience Blinders with COB technology – they had their major performance on the main stage, the Kinetic Field.

Stage as high as seven storys

The field was dominated by the biggest stage ever constructed in the USA. On a width of more than 130 meters and more than seven storys, over 1000 light effects were mounted – among them more than 1000 square meters of only video panels. The Audience Blinders from Eurolite were spread all over the stage as warm white dots.

2.5 millions Watts for one stage

Steve Lieberman, responsible light designer of the “Kinetic Field”, relied on the power of 2.5 million Watts to make the main stage shine brutally bright this year. In comparison: The three stages at “Rock am Ring” had a power consumption of 650 000 Watts – altogether.

The LEDs around the main attractions were controlled by MADRIX Ultimate.

Seven stages were offered to the dance-crazed crowd – on three of them, Eurolite products were used; including hundreds of PMC-16, meanwhile regular EDC guests since last year.

Who’s Who of electronic music

In 2014, EDC took place for the fourth time in Las Vegas and attracted visitors from 40 countries into the gamblers’ city. The line-up read like a who’s who of electronic music: Show acts from Avicii and Afrojack to Carl Cox and Tiesto provided entertainment for the masses.

Eurolite PMC-16

It is another affirmation: The Eurolite LED PMC-16 COB was elected the spot of the year and in this way proves, that COB technology is not only accepted on the market, but also the future of LED lighting.

One year ago, Steinigke introduced the new technology at the Prolight+Sound in Frankfurt. And like with every new technology, there was a certain degree of uncertainty at first. After all, it is never predictable, how the market will react to new technology. By now, it is obvious: its the next innovation in LED technology and this is just the start.
