Technology for a good cause

At the benefit musical gala in Heidenheim this June, top musical stars performed at no charge : The total proceeds were donated to the support initiative for children with tumors or leukemia in Ulm. Steinigke Showtechnic provided the event with stage technology free of cost.
The sum of 6000 € could now be given to the support group for children with tumors or leukemia by the association “musical sehnsucht e.V.”. This was made possible by the voluntary engagement of all contributors. Not only the internationally known musical stars like Zodwa Selele (known from “Sister Act”) and Kasper Holmboe (“Les Miserables”) performed without pay; even the technical lighting and stage equipment was provided for free by Steinigke Showtechnic. Over 500 spectators let themselves be taken away into the world of musicals.

Andreas Zöllner, employee of Steinigke Showtechnic and born in Heidenheim himself, developed the lighting concept for the gala. Used on stage were spots of the brands Eurolite and Futurelight; the stage design consisted of trussing from Alutruss and decorational elements from Europalms.
For the year 2017, a new benefit gala is already envisaged – the event will then take place for the fifth time. Steinigke Showtechnic will again support the work for the good cause with technical equipment.

Futurelight PLB-280 – make three wishes

November 30th, 2015 Posted in FUTURELIGHT, Press releases, Product news Tags: , ,

Waldbüttelbrunn, November 30th, 2015: The Futurelight PLB-280 is the fairy godmother among moving heads, as it makes three wishes come true: It’s a spot, beam and washlight at the same time. The moving head is equipped with a 280 W strong Osram Sirius discharge lamp and convinces with its powerful performance and of course with its flexibility.

In beam mode, it demonstrates an extremely narrow beam angle of 2°, which can be increased to 10° with the motorized focus. The built-in 8-fold prism multiplies the sharp image and arranges it in a circle, while the 6-fold prism creates a linear image. 14 gobos and 13 colors on the color wheel add more creative possibilities.

Using the moving head as spot, the zoom makes it possible to adjust the beam angle between 5.5° and 23°. In addition to the functions mentioned above, a gobo wheel with 9 rotating gobos can now be used. Gobos can be changed easily and quickly.

Even the desire for a powerful washlight is completely fulfilled by the PLB-280: Via DMX command, the frost filter is moved in front of the discharge lamp. Noteworthy is the fact, that the filter does not absorb as much light as you’ve seen in other spots. The power of the discharge lamp is large enough to produce a very bright and convincing wash effect. Of course, using the zoom is possible here, too.

Despite the various possibilities this spot offers, the single modes are controllable with only 14 to 23 DMX channels. All told, the PLB-280 is a perfect all-in-one package with powerful performance.

„Positively surprised“: Omnitronic PNM-6 convinces in test

August 26th, 2015 Posted in News, OMNITRONIC, Press releases

German trade magazine Soundcheck tested two Omnitronic PNM-6 studio monitors for its September issue. The verdict onthe studio monitors with only 7 kg weight was completely positive.

PNM-Monitor

After careful listening, the magazine stated that the PNM-6s don’t let their compact measurements be heard: „They sound bigger than they are. Especially the vehemence of the basses and low mids is amazing regarding the size of only six inches“. The fact that clipping, artefacts and reduction loss are clearly hearable, convinced the magazine: “The most important function of a studio monitor is accomplished, the PNM-6s relentlessly expose faults”.

Great price-performance ratio

Testers were not only enthusiastic about the clarity of the boxes, but also about the price-performance ratio: “Aside from the fact that the impact of these nearfields is fun, the clean frequency response allows an estimation of the basses on a level that usually must be paid with more money”.

Impressive performance

It’s not surprising that the result and the recommendation of the test arecompletely positive: „For little money you get a pair of boxes, which impress with a powerful bass section, good stereo positioning and excellent offset in depth. […] Anyone who is looking for a low priced pair of studio monitors, should definitely write the PNM-6s on his list”.

„Extraordinary“: Eurolite TMH FE-1200 put to the test

January 14th, 2015 Posted in EUROLITE, General, News, Press releases Tags: , ,

German trade magazine Soundcheck tested the Eurolite TMH-1200 FE for its December issue. The result: The Moving Head’s „flower power“ fully convinced the tester.

TMH FE-1200At the beginning, the magazine stated that the TMH FE-1200 is not a normal Moving Head: „The TMH FE-1200 is a little extraordinary“. This not only refers tothe spot’s appearance, which resembles „a piece of black stove pipe“, but above all its generatedlight: „The beams can be concentrated, so one solid beam is formed. You have a flower effect and a beam spot in one device here“.

Special look and great effects

Testers were also enthusiastic about the light output of the Flower Moving Head: “Everybody who thinks of a weak little spot when hearing Flower Effect, is completely wrong. The TMH FE-1200 shows a proper performance”. The – not-so-common – color mixture of the spot first evoked surprise, then appreciation: “The colors red, green, blue and white are available, but they can not be mixed properly. Depending on the color choice, single beams in these colors are created. (…) But this is no drawback at all, as a very special look is produced, with which beautiful effects can be created”.

Great spot

It’s not surprising that the result of the test is completely positive: „A great spot, which combines Flower Effect, Beam and Moving Head and not only makes an impression in clubs, but also on music stages or on tour with mobile DJs.“
