Luminale 2010 – become a light designer yourself

At this year’s Luminale every internet user can become a light designer. The project is called „InterAktives Licht“ (interactive lighting). This is a co-operation between doitsmart.eventmanagement, Steinigke Showtechnic and Kameha Suite.

From April 11 to April 16 visitors to the website will have the chance to determine in which colors the Kameha Suite will be illuminated during the Luminale in Frankfurt. The facade as well as the individual windows of the historic building can be colorized independently and then combined to an aesthetic comprehensive composition via a web interface. The virtual lighting concepts on the website then will become tangible on the event evenings in Frankfurt: Every composition created will illuminate the Kameha Suite for about one minute.

Cameras will document the event and will give the creator at home an actual impression of the virtually arranged surfaces. The coupling via web interface will enable an almost unlimited number of international visitors the possibility of active participation at the Luminale.

Steinigke supports the project with light equipment. The main part is covered with several OCC-36 and PHS-1200 from Futurelight and with many LED T-1000 RGB from Eurolite.
