Black Cases

Cases don’t have to be merely functional – they are also allowed to be an optical highlight. Such as our new all-blackl hardware cases. Until now, cases like that have only been available at special manufacturers – now, Steinigke offers them as well.

Transporting CD players safely, that’s the meaning behind the two noble black flightcases. Both measure a height of 85 mm and a length of 420 mm (inner dimensions). Just their width differs: the BLHD Type 2 is a bit wider (320 mm compared to 250 mm). Apart from that, the two cases are identic in their first-class quality. Not only considering the looks, also in the matter of workmanship:

7 mm thick multilayered glued plywood, an interior upholstered with foam, a aluminum profile frame (30 mm) with rounded edges, three-leg. Medium-sized steel ball corners, 2 high-quality butterfly locks, padded carrying handles, adopter strips for fitting the respective players and a removable front plate for front-loading CD players.

The all-black cases are available from now on.

CasesWe are putting drawings online which will help you to equip cases and racks…

Normed cases, as they are called in general, tell everything about their size. Classic cases with 19” (48 cm) don’t have to be explained as they are simply standard. But cases which are not based on standards or have not been designed for a certain device kind of hide their size secrets.

For this reason we expand the information for some products and add helpful drawings to the images. These drawings show exact dimensioning. By doing so you get a clear overview over measure and you’re able to plan your case or rack more precisely.

This help is a service to avoid possible questions and to be able to work faster. You see where our points of measurement start and end – now you know what you can store in the case at almost one glance.

Criticism can help!

Steinigke Cases

Development in the field of cases is not as fast as in other areas. But we can change things together…

For cases, technical changes don’t come this fast as within the fields of light or audio. That is why our ears are always open for any ideas for improvements – as they have been so far. We want to show you some examples how we implement your ideas. By the way, improvements do not have to be followed by price rise – we keep an eye on that.

So, how do developments in collaboration with our customers work? Once there had been a customer who said he would prefer different wood than MDF. We analyzed for what kind of cases this was possible and what quality benefits customers could expect. Finally we have been able to change the MDF to multilayered plywood without raising the prices.

Recently, some customers have advised us that our butterfly locks frayed quite quickly. We proofed whether this was true, we found a failure in the phase of design and we fixed the problem. All new cases have been equipped with the improved locks.

We are glad when you share your individual experiences with us. With this additional input we can work out the best for all. Do you have any remarks or ideas? Just let us know and please write to our specialist Erwin Jenuwein (erwin.jenuwein@steinigke.de). We are looking forward to a fruitful collaboration.
