The quick-change artist among the moving heads

Eurolite presents matrix effect with zoom

Eurolite LED TMH-X25 Zoom

A real quick-change artist was presented by Eurolite at the Prolight+Sound 2017: The TMH-X25 Zoom unites moving head, matrix effect and beam spot in one device. This way, it offers absolute flexibility.

Endless possibilities

Viewed from the outside, the TMH-X25 looks like a matrix effect on the base of a moving head. 5 x 5 LEDs with RGBW color mixture are at the light designer’s disposal for creating colorful patterns, numbers, letters or animations. Each LED can be controlled individually. The device is controlled by DMX or Art-Net.

Powerful beam

On closer inspection, you detect the zoom, which changes the spot’s beam angle steplessly from 7.5° to 60°. This way, the moving head can also be used as a beam spot – the 25 LEDs with 12 W each are definitely strong enough to produce a powerful beam. Thanks to its Infinity function, the moving head can move endlessly in PAN or TILT direction.

Absolute flexibility

The impressive effect can be used for different purposes thanks to its versatile equipment: As matrix effect in a club, as beam effect on live stages or as background light in TV studios; the TMH-X25 always looks great. Its motorized zoom and the Infinity function make the spot absolutely flexible.

Eurolite comes out with hypnotizing effects with light rings

In the run-up to Prolight&Sound 2017, the brand Eurolite brings new LED moving heads with compact dimensions and amazing effects to the market: The devices with the melodious name “Hypno” captivate viewers with luminous rings.

Eurolite LED TMH Hypno-61

It’s all in the name

The name predicts the characteristics of these moving heads: LED rings, which are arranged around the lense, create hypnotizing effects in bright colors, while a light beam comes out of their center.

Two versions

At the moment, there are two versions of the Hypno, which, despite their similar looks, differ in their composition: The spot version is equipped with a powerful, white 30 W COB LED; you can modify the projection by using color wheels and gobos. Around the lense, three LED rings with a total of 76 RGB SMD LEDs have been arranged.

The second version owns a 60 W COB LED in RGBW colors, which creates a vividly colored beam. Around this, four LED rings with a total of 88 RGB SMD LEDs are at your disposal. You can control the LED rings completely individually on both devices. The moving heads can be controlled via DMX or operated in stand alone mode.

Compact and lightweight

Despite their impressive effect and their assertive light power, the dimensions of the Hypnos are manageable: Both versions are only 35 cm high and weigh only 5 kg. This makes them excellent for mobile use; solo entertainers or smaller bands are well equipped with these devices. Even when installed in clubs, the Hypnos perform perfectly.

Futurelight PLB-280 – make three wishes

November 27th, 2015 Posted in FUTURELIGHT, News, Press releases, Product news Tags: , ,

The Futurelight PLB-280 is the fairy godmother among moving heads, as it makes three wishes come true: It’s a spot, beam and washlight at the same time. The moving head is equipped with a 280 W strong Osram Sirius discharge lamp and convinces with its powerful performance and of course with its flexibility.

Futurelight PLB-280

In beam mode, it demonstrates an extremely narrow beam angle of 2°, which can be increased to 10° with the motorized focus. The built-in 8-fold prism multiplies the sharp image and arranges it in a circle, while the 6-fold prism creates a linear image. 14 gobos and 13 colors on the color wheel add more creative possibilities.

Using the moving head as spot, the zoom makes it possible to adjust the beam angle between 5.5° and 23°. In addition to the functions mentioned above, a gobo wheel with 9 rotating gobos can now be used. Gobos can be changed easily and quickly.

Even the desire for a powerful washlight is completely fulfilled by the PLB-280: Via DMX command, the frost filter is moved in front of the discharge lamp. Noteworthy is the fact, that the filter does not absorb as much light as you’ve seen in other spots. The power of the discharge lamp is large enough to produce a very bright and convincing wash effect. Of course, using the zoom is possible here, too.

Despite the various possibilities this spot offers, the single modes are controllable with only 14 to 23 DMX channels. All told, the PLB-280 is a perfect all-in-one package with powerful performance.

„Business Class“ among headphones: Omnitronic SHP-777BT convinces testers

July 10th, 2015 Posted in News, OMNITRONIC, Press releases, Product news Tags: ,

German trade magazine ear-in put the Omnitronic SHP-777BT to the test in their latest issue. The result: Excellent. The headphones convince whether used as wireless companions on the go or wired on an amplifier.

Omnitronic SHP-777BT grey

The speciality of the SHP-777BT: Thanks to Bluetooth equipment, the headphones can be operated wirelessly. This way, they are a perfect match for smartphones as well as IPods and ideal travel mates. Of course they also work with cables – and show strengths then, too.

Balanced sound without cables

When judging sound, the testers differenciate between active operation with cables and passive operation on an amplifier: „Active, via Bluetooth, the sound is balanced. The bass is not obtrusive, a little taken back in the highs. It doesn’t sound dull at all“.

Operated passively on an amplifier, the SHP-777BT shows other strengths: „Connected to a good amplifier, the sound positioning moves back into the head, definition and dynamics become more distinguished. The tonality shifts in different directions now with mighty basses and radiant highs, which, together with the gain of mentioned qualities, really agrees with the headphones“.

Classy appearance

The features of the SHP-777BT were judged business-suitable by the testers as well: „The cloth-covered headband of the SHP-777BT, which is available in grey and black, the slender joints and the modern, square-formed housing present a dignified style.“ The headphones’ fit and soft cushioning were rated as „excellent“.

Recommendable companion

It’s no wonder that the testers give an all-round positive judgement: „The Omnitronic SHP-777BT has two faces. Wireless via Bluetooth, it shows a very sophisticated, convenient character, but in team play, cable-connected with the right team mate, it outdoes itself“.

The Omnitronic SHP-777BT is recommended as wireless travel mate as well as for use with an amplifier.

inoage® expands the range of hardware products with MADRIX® LUNA 4 and MADRIX® LUNA 16.

 MADRIX Luna

Products of the MADRIX® LUNA range are mainly units that work in the background of an LED installation. But they are still an important and essential part of the overall setup. The number of LEDs used in a project is constantly increasing and so are the technical requirements. That includes the rapidly growing amounts of data and their distribution.

MADRIX® LUNA products are easy-to-use Art-Net devices to take on the functionality of reliable data distribution in such increasingly complex data networks. They receive and send DMX512 data over network and put out 4, 8, or 16 DMX universes per unit over 5-pin XLR ports (2,048, 4,096 or 8,192 DMX channels). An additional XLR port is available to receive DMX-IN data. Every MADRIX® LUNA can be used as a USB 2.0 DMX512 unit as well.
