New technology, new face – Futurelight’s PHS 210 follows PHS-200

December 14th, 2010 Posted in FUTURELIGHT Tags: ,

It’s time for something new: Futurelight welcomes the PHS-200 successor, the PHS-210. In the past eight years it has been proven a thousand times: The PHS-200 is Futurelight’s reliable starter model – notably for light engineers with professional ambitions. The new PHS-210 will follow this tradition with an updated technology. It is available from now on.

An important renewal: the readjustment to a 16-bit resolution for pan and tilt movements. The mechanic dimmer forms another upgrade. The number of LED channels, however, has been kept at moderate dimensions. Eleven are only three DMX channels more than the predecessor offered. According to this approach, comfortable working with smaller-sized DMX controllers is still possible.

An enhanced running smoothness as well as quicker gobo and color changes can also be put on the list of positive modifications. The device’s design has been carefully adapted to that of its “big brother” PHS-280.

With the power of its 250-watt illuminant, the PHS-210 reaches a brightness level of 21,000 lux at a distance of 2.5 meters. A performance which is definitely able to take up the competitors’ pace. An optional upload box enables easy software updates via DMX link.

The PHS-210 has been developed for the use in discotheques and on small and middle-sized stages. According to that, the 56 programmed scenes surely don’t come amiss. Thanks to the spot’s low weight of less than 20 kilos it makes only modest demands of mechanics of respective event locations.

They’re lone fighters, having to face hosts of rivals and sometimes they are wrongly pushed aside a bit. We are talking about PAR-spots in noble white. We want to give the PAR-albinos a platform here to present themselves, because at fairs, galas or weddings, for example, a distinguished white offers an interesting alternative. Certainly, white can also be the best choice for fixed installations. Here we present the Eurolite LED PAR-64 RGB Spot, the little brother of the larger PAR-64 Pro spots, as an example of white elegance.
Equipped with 183 LEDs (10 mm), it has a power consumption of 32 Watts. Color change speed and strobe effect of this multi-color-spot are adjustable via DIP-switches or DMX. Be wise and give this spot a chance – no matter if in public places, halls, clubs, bars or shops, the LED PAR-64 RGB Spot will surely not disappoint you!

EUROLITE LED KLS-800 – Ever increasing brightness!

February 23rd, 2010 Posted in EUROLITE Tags: , , , ,

kls800_.effectWith the LED KLS-800 TCL DMX, Eurolite presents the new top model from the revolutionary line of LED-Compact Light Sets. As light-weight as its predecessor, the same housing, but considerably brighter.

The KLS-800 is comprised out of four individual, flat and separately directional spots with seven Tricolor-LED-chips (TCL) each. Every TCL-chip is fitted with three LEDs having a rated power output of 1W each. Advantages of this multichip-technology enable a substantially more homogeneous color mixture than is possible with individually installed LEDs. By the way, the loss of light output through the integrated converging lens is negligible. The compact light set accommodates 28 TCL-chips, each having a 3 Watt power output. The achieved light output is comparable to a conventional spot-bar comprised of four PAR-56 in various colors.

The compact set really lives up to its name: the total weight of the LED KLS-800 including bar, TV pin, and the complete cabling is round about 9 kilograms and can be transported comfortably by a single person in the included carrier bag. Thanks to the low weight and the completely pre-fitted bar, installation is simple, even for the not so technically inclined. This makes the LED KLS-800 especially attractive for solo entertainers and other small performing groups with own equipment as well as for technical service providers with mobile discos and rentals.

Control can be carried out either via the optionally available foot switch with long connection cable or via any standard DMX-controller. The compact light set occupies 15 DMX channels. The Eurolite DMX LED Operator 4 is a specially developed controller, with which all functions can be easily accessed. This enables comprehensive use of the system without the tedious familiarization with the subject matter.

A further benefit of the LED KLS-800 is the very low power consumption, which lies at about 160 Watts. Hereby, as well as the minimal heat emission of the LEDs, it encourages use of the compact sets even in the smallest locations, without having the performer or the public to work up a sweat. Moreover, in contrast to its conventional prototypes, the LED KLS-800 does not promote annoying interference in the sound system, in case light and sound need to share an electrical circuit at an event location with limited power supplies. Facts which make the LED KLS-800 a real alternative to conventional spot-bars.

When EUROLITE brought the first compact LED light sets on the market in the summer of 2008, it produced a real sensation in the mobile event-technology sector. The revolutionary product range was quickly and consequently expanded by means of customer requests, so that meanwhile the user has six versions with varying configurations to choose from, including the top model LED KLS-800 TCL DMX. Several complete sets with stand enlarge this range even more.

EUROLITE LED Scanner TSL-100 convinces in test

January 8th, 2010 Posted in EUROLITE Tags: , , , ,

There is no denying the result: “All in all, the TSL-100 LED Scan convinces in every aspect.” For its issue to be published on 14 September the magazine Soundcheck tested the new scanner rigorously and gave top grades for the participant. What makes the EUROLITE TSL so special is the illuminating power together with the price, a fact that the trade magazine equally agreed on. According to the testers, currently there are very few LED-run spot lights in this price category that are able to project gobos precisely and with high light output. The EUROLITE LED Scan TSL-100 easily competes with the class off 250 watt halogen devices, states the magazine. No wonder the testers come to a completely positive result in which they praise the good workmanship, the great price performance ratio, the enormous luminosity and the low current consumption! Read more in the next issue of Soundcheck. If you would like to have more information on the TSL visit our website www.steinigke.com.
